GreenCR Champion Nominations Open
With Earth Month on the horizon, nominations are now open for GreenCR Champions . These are individuals or groups in our Cedar Rapids and nearby communities that care about environmental health and supporting people in our community. GreenCR Champions work hard to bring that passion to wherever they are--school, work, at home or outdoors.
If you know a person or group who goes above and beyond to promote environmental stewardship – a teacher, student, employee, or association – nominate them for the GreenCR Champion Award at EcoFestCR.org/Award.Date:03/28/2024

Winter Weather Impact to YARDY Collections
Cedar Rapids solid waste collection experienced some difficulty this morning as winter weather made collections difficult. Some YARDY’s were collected, but as the storm brought heavier snow, garbage and recycling needed to become the primary focus of our Solid Waste team. As a result, YARDY’s not collected on Friday, March 22 have been postponed until Monday, Mar. 25, 2024. All other garbage, recycling, and YARDY collection routes remain unchanged.Date:03/22/2024
